"The overall experience with Hi Proof has been great. Excellent service, timely delivery, attention to detail when packing! The Sandend is one of my favorites. The flavor is super smooth, fruity & finishes with the slightest saltiness, yum! If your smoke or peaty guy, not for you! I wish I could figure out the “free freight” part but not yet……"
"I recently purchased numerous; somewhat hard to find scotch and Hiproof delivered spot on! Highly recommend"
"I found this to be a very smooth whisky with a full "mouthfeel". I'm getting another couple bottles."
"I recently found Hi Proof and I am so glad I did. Excellent selection and service. Their prices are hard to beat. Will use for everything I am looking for from here on. Thank you."
"Smooth. Amazing value"
"The online purchase process and my experience at the store have been nothing short of satisfying. From staff to online order platform, I’ve very much enjoyed my multiple interactions. As for the bottle referenced in this survey, I like it, but perhaps I’m not as impressed as the critics that selected it as the best. Thank you Roy and staff"
Glenglassaugh Sandend Single Malt Scotch 700 ml
BY Glenglassaugh
Whiskey Advocate #1 Whiskey of 2023
Inspired by the crescent beach of Sandend Bay, Glenglassaugh Sandend is matured in bourbon, sherry and manzanilla casks for luscious waves of flavour.
Named for the bay that the Glenglassaugh distillery overlooks, Sandend features malt finished in ex-bourbon, ex-oloroso, and ex-manzanilla casks bottled at a robust and flavorful 101 proof. Scents of vanilla bean, tropical fruit, honey, minerality, and a fresh coastal breeze round out a beautiful nose. The palate opens with notes of tropical and orchard fruits followed by honeycake, vanilla, and ginger. Baking spices linger through the finish, complimented by an ocean-breeze salinity.
